The Guy who came out did à good job. But the person who set up the visit double booked him and he was supposed to be at Our house between 8 and 10. IT was close to 1pm.

My experience is frustrating based on the fact when I called for a Service Call Estimate I was quoted a very reasonable fee, which I inquired further are their any other fees? The C/S responded with "just a fee" for repair and again I felt it to be reasonable. The technician was very professional, courteous and informative. However, my issue was/is that my garage door occasionally would open for no reason at anytime. The recommended solution was to reprogram my door opener and remote noting he is not 100% positive this would solve the issue. Yet charged me an additional $64,00 for 20 min of time. I had a coupon for $20.00, which he rejected. Problem is not fixed yet.

Hi, the technician was wonderful. The problem was not solved today. I still do not know what caused the garage door to start bending or bowing in the center. I had no problems with the door before this started happening. The technician was not really able to test my garage door opener to see if it was functioning properly, because he did not want to damage the door any further which I understood. Therefore. he was not really able to tell me what caused the the problem.

Friendly and knowledge technician. The primary reason for call was my remote garage opener wouldn’t work due to battery issues, unfortunately the technician didn’t have batteries on his truck to get it working. So my reason for scheduling appointment was not addressed. It would be great if your technicians had supplies on their truck to provide the needed service. Thanks, Clay

Bill was great. Fast, efficient, friendly and positive. It's the follow up work when everything went sour. First of all they use a live answering service. These people have not been trained on how to work with Precision's customers and they don't identify themselves as an answering service so when they treat a customer badly, one assumes they're talking directly with Precision. Second, I had to wait to get the door fixed which means I couldn't use my garage. Lastly, the owner, Jim Boland, who's name is on an email stating how important customers are, does not return calls and doesn't deal with customers, I'm told. When I called a different phone number I spoke to Nick who repaired most of the damage from the post repair call. All in all, I would use Precision again but only because of Bill and knowing now how to circumvent the answering service.

Service was very good but quote is a bit high. Also did not receive our Angie's list discount and final price was a bit higher than quoted in person. I would suggest shopping prior to making a commitment unless you absolutely need the repair ASAP.
- Wade Gossett
We appreciate your input Mr. Gossett. We are not the least expensive garage door service company, but we are the best. We stand behind our parts as well as our technicians. I have found in my own personal experience that when I try to cut corners, it usually cost me either more money, time or some emotional distress. What we offer is peace of mind. We guarantee our work so if you do have a problem we will correct it. Please do share your experience with others.

Job well done, quick response, but too expensive. I figure $300. max. ($100. service call,$100./hr for repair, took less than an hour,$100. for springs. That seemed fair.
- William Mangano
Thank you for your feedback Mr Mangano. I won't apologize for our prices, but I will ask "What is peace of mind worth". Hopefully, over time you realize that we are not expensive. Thank you for choosing Precision.

The technician was very polite. However he did not have the equipment necessary to fix my gargage door and tried to sell me a garage door opener system instead. He said he would get back to me to schedule another appointment but I have yet to hear from him. Im starting to believe that he never intended to fix the lock on garage door and was trying to get a bigger sale. I do not want a system I just want to be able to lock my garage.

I can understand your feelings. Thank you for writing this review. It allows us to pinpoint the areas where improvement is needed. We pride ourselves in 100% customer satisfaction and obviously we fell short this time. I apologize to you. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers in the future.

MY STAR RATING WOULD HAVE BEEN A 1 INITIALLY BUT WOULD NOW BE A 5 TODAY! Initially I had 2 unpleasant experiences with Precision door. My husband and I were unhappy with the service and the attitudes of the service technicians. Our first experience with them which was about two years ago, ended with us spending a great deal more money than we anticipated on new cables, springs, door adjustments and the works. However we were told there was a lifetime warranty on both parts and labor. A few months later we had to call them back for a problem and when the serviceman came back, we were told this was a new problem and had no warranty. Needless to say we were extremely unhappy with the company and decided we would not call them again. A few days ago, we noticed our garage door was not closing all the way and was very crooked. We called another company who came out the same day and showed us frayed cables which needed to be replaced. The cost was $170.00. We were then told that the door would still not close in the manual position because Precision had installed the wrong springs for our door and it would be an additional $280.00 to replace those. I was not happy. I contacted Precision to insist they replace the springs and decided I would take them to small claims court if they would not stand by their claims. I was totally prepared for a lot of small talk and excuses. After being told a manager would contact me today, I was very surprised to actually have Jim call me early this morning to hear what I had to say. To my TOTAL surprise, he could not have been nicer. He accepted complete responsibility for the problem and had a serviceman over to my house within about an hour. The new service tech agreed that the wrong springs had been installed. He replaced the correct springs at no charge. I showed him the frayed cables along with my receipt for the new ones. About an hour later, I received a call once again from the manager Jim, who informed me that I will be reimbursed the entire $170.00 for the replacement cables. Needless to say, Precision has earned back my business and I will recommend them to anyone who asks for a reference in the future. I donâ??t know if they have a new owner or if they simply restructured the company, but whatever happened, they clearly understand that their reputation is essential to their success. Coupled with this understanding are the actions to back up their claims. It has been a long time since I have experienced such remarkable customer service with a perfectly pleasant and humble attitude. My sincere thanks to Jim and Tom the technician.

Friendly fast service for a broken spring. However, new wheels not compatable with current hinges and roller off track within days. Would not replace hinges as part of hardware upgrade as expected. Disappointed in cost and trying to charge additional fee for proper hinges.
- Keith Nelson
Mr. Nelson has a very unique door that was a combination of parts not normally found on garage doors. It appears that a previous owner of the home, maybe an engineer, designed and built the door himself. The hinges were not compatible with todays garage door rollers. Changing the hinges would have created a domino effect of other parts that would have to be replaced so the door would function properly. We returned to Mr Nelsons home and fixed the issues with the rollers. There have been no further issues with the door.

Precision Service tech arrived early for service call. I and another technician working on my current garage problem attempted to describe the problem we were having with the initial installation of garage door by Precision and why we reached back out to the installers of my garage. The Precision Tech immediately took defense of the obvious problem even after viewing pictures. He assessed his solution to the separation and forced drilled 4 holes into the new base from the frame probably the way it should have been done initially! Total time 8 mins maybe Total cost $150. Problem solved A+ Tech Attitude: D
