Google comes through again! My garage door failed me on the second coldest night of 2014. Precision answered their phone promptly with a live person no less! I was considered an emergency because my car was stuck inside. They arrived within the hour and Al was done and gone within 45 minutes. Considering the original unit was 15 years old, the replacement (cost and warranty) were well worth it. Excellent.

Our current garage door opener was 20+ years old and chose to fail today Monday March 3, 2014 as I was leaving for work. It closed down to about 2 feet from the ground and would not move up or down. I could not get the pull chain release to work so I could close it the rest of the way. I selected Precision based on their A rating on Angie's List and their proximity to my home. I was pleasantly surprised to get a same day service call appointment between 2 and 5. I got a call back that based on the technician having a call in Brecksville at noon my call was moved up to 1:00. Even better, Bill called me at 12:10 and asked if he could arrive earlier, which was fine because I work in Brecksville. Bill was at the house when I arrived and proceeded to diagnose the problem. The large gear that moves the chain to lift the door was stripped. Bad news the opener was so old that it did not have the safety sensor that is required by code and he was prohibited from repairing the gear. We had to get a new opener. Bill showed me the models available with the full installation price including tax. I selected the base model LiftMaster .5 hp belt drive and Bill got to work installing it. He was finished just before 2:00 PM so I missed minimal time from work. He was very professional and courteous. Bill even set up the HomeLink transmitter in my car before he left. Overall this was a very good experience.

The first thing I liked about your company was being able to speak to a live person rather than the "leave a message and someone will call you back" option 5 on a phone menu. Zoran did a complete inspection of my door and opener and made sure I understood what was OK, needed repair, or replacing. He was very personable, arrived in the scheduled time interval, called shortly prior to arrival time and quickly had my door operational. Explained the problem, 13 yr. old door opener, the winter has not been kind. Trolley, motor and rails getting very tired. Matt explained the problem and we decided to replace rather than worry whether it would open this time. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and did a great job overall.

Bill Adamini is a very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly technician. He replaced my old Liftmaster (21 years old) with a new belt driven unit, and did it in less than an hour. I could not have been more pleased with the service he provided. I hesitated giving a five star rating because I thought the price was a little steep, but thought that would be unfair to Bill. He deserved five stars. Nice going, Bill.

We have an attached garage and the overhead door was stopped and stuck in a half open position. Using the yellow pages, I called two other companies first and was told they couldn't come out until the next day. Your ad stated 24/7 service and was confirmed by the girl answering the phone at 4:00 P.M Your installer Z arrived about 5:00. The motor on the opener was burned out and needed replacing. We were not familiar with your product or company but when Z talked about it in depth, we were impressed. He installed Lift Master Opener in an hour and a half but spent much more time patiently explaining everything he thought we needed to know. He was a good representative for your company; knowledgeable, polite and didn't rush us into a decision.

When my garage door would not open last night I thought I was in for some trouble. I called precision door at 6:30, after business hours,after seeing them on google, I was greeted wih an appointment for the following morning. Paul arrived promptly around 10 am and was skills at assessing necessary repair, but honest about what I absolutely needed. He was pleasant to deal with and knowledgable. He installed new rollers and a torsion lift system for my old wooden garage door and I was amazed at how easy it moved when complete and totally worth the investment to have it done right.

What a truly great company! We had trouble with a broken spring but the tech also pointed out issues with the cable and rollers. Very knowledgeable, professional, courteous. We elected to have all of the maintenance completed and it came with life-time warranty. The customer service was superb! Tech was very prompt and friendly. Brad Buzzelli assisted Bill Adamini because Bill had not installed an 8500 opener before. Brad and Bill did a good job installing the opener and a new door. I rate Precision with four stars because of poor "communication" between Precision and the customer. I did not get quotes from any other door/opener companies because I was impressed with your web site and you had a good review (although customers noted that are more expensive) on Angie's List. I bought a new opener (8500) and a door. The communication problems: (1) Paul quoted the job, but it was 48 hours until I received the email quote confirmation. (2) It took seven days for Precision to get a delivery schedule from your supplier. (3) When Bill arrived to install the opener and door, he discovered that Paul had not measured correctly and, thus, after Bill's new measurements, a different opener had to be ordered (the 3595). (4) One week later, Precision tells me that neither the 3595 nor its new replacement (8587) are available.This required yet another (the third time) opener to be ordered (the 8500), with the price going up with each new opener. Additional comments: (a)Your technicians should know more than just three opener models. Only after looking at Liftmaster's website and talking with Liftmaster Customer Service did I learn that my situation of limited ceiling area for a belt or chain drive might have had an alternative solution (splice a belt or tilt the rail). I had wanted a belt drive. (b) Upon completing the job, Bill provided me with an owners manual for the opener, but no manual for the door. I had to call Precision to request a manual for the door. Bill, a week later, brought me a door manual from another job. The manual was dirty (as though it had been on a muddy floor). (c) After installing the opener and door, Bill returned to correct a slight problem with door weather stripping. No major problem, but another "Gosh, it didn't go right the first time." PS. Although I initially wanted a belt drive, I am pleased with the 8500 (even though I don't need all the high-tech features). I should note that Paul had suggested the 8500, but at that time, I did not want to pay more for the 8500 and all of its high-tech features which I did not (do not) want.
