Precision Door was recommended by a friend, and they had an excellent rating on Angie's List. I called because a spring had broken on the garage door. The appointment confirmation email contained photos of their technicians, so I knew whom to expect. Brad was prompt, polite and professional, explained additional problems with worn bearings on the very old garage door, as well as all options from just replacing the springs to rebuilding the parts to replacing the door completely. Because I felt the old wooden door maintained the character of the older home, I elected not to replace but to rebuild. Brad did an excellent job. I highly recommend Precision Door for your needs.

Precision garage Doors is not a company I can recommend. The technician gave me what I thought was an extremely high price at first and then continually lowered it to try to get me to use his services. To me that makes it seem like the company is trying to get as much money as they can by initially giving a price which is much higher than what they are willing to do the job for. Also, after I had been told the price for the consultation was $40 the technician said the price would be $65 because he had to take time to look at the garage door and talk to me. Isn't that what the consultation is for? He did however waive that fee when I objected. The company that repaired my garage door gave me a much lower price plus they did not require that I first do a consultation which I would have to pay for if I choose not to use their company. I feel that not using this company to repair my garae door was a very wise decision. Even with having to pay for the consultation, I saved over $200 dollars.

Based on your experience, I can understand why you feel that way. First, let me say there are many ways to repair a garage door. Experience has shown the best way to repair a door long term is to rebuild it. Not to say you can't replace a spring or a broken cable. We have found that putting a bandage leads to call backs and unhappy customers. Ultimately we will do whatever our customer wants but again the best way to repair a door is to rebuild it and we guarantee it will work perfectly. Obviously my technician did not adequately explain our company to you. Precision Door uses the best parts available and we offer lifetime warranties, which other companies do not. It is difficult to compare us to other garage door companies because we take a different approach. Our goal is to fix your door right the first time and give you peace of mind. Didn't know who to call concerning my garage door sensor problem that has been ongoing for over a year. I consulted the phone book and called Precision and so glad I did. Mitch diagnosed the problem immediately and new sensors were installed. He even oiled the hinges and that has made a huge difference. It sounds so nice when the door is opened & closed. Spring broke could not get car out of garage. Called Precision and they were able to send Paul out within 2 hours. POaul helped me get door open long enough to get car out so could function again. Door very old and instead or repair, Joe helped me choose a new door that will be installed 4 days. This is excellant service. I expect the install to be done ontime without incident.

Brad did a good job. I thought it was a very expensive replacement of two springs, however. I don't mind paying for good work and good service, but the price was very high. Brad came back on Saturday morning, just as he said he would do, we did agree that he would call us to confirm that he would come, and he did not do that. As I mentioned previously, however, Brad did a very good job. He was quick, and he was honest.

I had inadvertently closed the garage door and the only working opener was in my car, in the garage.This happened around the last week of November. It was 8:00 PM and I tried to open the door manually with no success. I called your company and they scheduled an appointment between 10:00 and 12:00.The on-call technician, Eric, called within a half hour and was on site by 9:00 PM. He worked for about a half hour to manually unlock with no success. I authorized him to cut a hole in a panel so we could hit the switch to open the door. This garage had no other means of entry (side door, window, attached to house). He took the information for the new panel and explained that when the door was installed originally, the manual release was installed to the frame of the door instead of the release mechanism. The panel came in about two weeks later and Eric came to do the installation. Unfortunately, the wrong panel had been ordered and the door was not fixed. Eric did install the new panel on Thursday and I no longer have to get out of the car to open and shut the door! The only disappointment was the length of time it took to install the panel. The technician was terrific: very polite and professional, always prompt and called when enroute. I do not know whether this happened by accident or deliberate - I think it was critical to your success that the same technician was on the job thru to completion. Prior to installation we were contacted to determine best date and time and you were always very accomodating. I would definately make referrals to you in the future and call you for additional assistance and purchase. Thank you for your assistance!
