I called for service because I thought the problem was the opener, which we purchased December 2016, but it turned out to be the springs. The technician was very nice and helpful. His name was Will Coad. I did think the price was a little high, but I had to have the work done. I told Will that when we got the opener in December we never received a manual with it, he told me he would let you know and you could get one for me.

As always, Precision Door comes through! The spring on our garage door broke. A quick phone call and they were there to make the repair. Our technician, Zorn Jovanovic was fantastic. I am very pleased with the door opener. It has worked extremely well for 6 years. The current problem was just one of adjustment, although a worn wire had to be replaced. Your repairman was on time, cordial, and efficient. The problem was resolved in no more than a half hour. However, the charge was $65 to show up and $65 for labor. I paid for a life-time warranty, and I thought the charge was too much. He very quickly reduced the charge by $65 dollars. I don't feel that is a good way to do business. It made me feel like there was an attempt to take advantage of me because I am a senior. If I hadn't said anything, I would have paid $130 for a half-hour job.

I have been very impressed with Precision, and their business philosophy. The customer definitely comes first with Precision. They are available whenever you need them. Our door spring broke, and we were basically unable to get our cars out on a Saturday night. I got in touch with Precision by chat room, and was able to get the door fixed on Sunday morning. I don't know of another garage door company that offers that kind of service. Later we decided to replace the whole door since the one we had was builder's quality, and we wanted to upgrade. The new door was professionally installed and we are very happy with the whole process.

Bill did a great looking at our door problem and explained our old wooden door is starting to fall apart from the rain/snow. The door is holding water and swollen. He suggested we remove the rot from the frame of garage door. He also suggested we replace our 2 1/2 car garage door with a new light weight steel door. Our wooden door weights 2 - 3 x more than steel door. Wood door is making garage motor work harder.

Will did a fantastic job diagnosing the problem with our garage door (broken spring) and notifying us of the other issues with our 25 year-old builder grade garage door. All was as advertised. Zoran did a great job in explaining our options, and when we made a choice, he installed new springs and a new opener right away. He showed us how to use our new controls and made sure they worked before he left. He also told us items we did not need to replace and some that are not necessary but may make the opening / closing process smoother.

The second thing is the email I received telling me the name of the technician along with a link so I could see his face and read his bio. John was great. He corrected the initial problem and them pointed out one safety issue (raveling cable) and explained the reason for the noise (new rollers would eliminate). Installation was quick. Door works great.
