Piece on my opener snapped. Came out next day on a Saturday. Installed a new unit quickly. Helped me out with a couple other aspects of the door and also helped to reprogram the openers built into our cars. Good service.

Our garage door wouldn't open. The technician came and the the inspection, and we knew that just for coming out and performing the inspection, it would cost $65. The technician explained to us that the total cost would be $800 to fix everything. We have a home warranty, and part of the warranty process is to call the home warranty and have the on-site technician speak to the representative, in order for the home warranty representative to determine if we (as homeowners) could be reimbursed for services rendered; this required the technician from Precision to speak to the home warranty representative, which took less than 3 minutes. After discussing what work needed to be done for our garage exactly, we (me & my partner) stepped away to discuss what to do. The technician actually started taking equipment/tools out of his van and was preparing to start work, but we had not given our permission or approval for him to start work. We decided to get a second opinion and when we told the technician, he got very hostile and upset that we even wanted a second opinion - almost that he took personal offense that we didn't trust him or his assessment of the situation. As he was becoming more unfriendly towards us by the minute, we just wanted him gone & out of our house. My partner settled the invoice quickly -- the technician failed to explain what (and how much) we were being charged for. Later that day, we received a copy of the invoice via email which had a spot for the homeowner to sign as their way of "approving" the work and amount charged. We never signed the invoice -- it was a slash mark made by the technician. The technician actually double charged us: $65 for the inspection and another $65 for "Labor - phone call with home warranty." As previously noted, the phone call lasted for less than 3minutes. Also, the phone call should be considered as part of the "inspection" fee -- since he simply explained what the issue was with our garage door. My partner called the 1800 number several times and was routed to the billing department. He left several messages and still has not received a follow-up call. I called and asked to speak to a manager. One was in a meeting, and I left my information for them to call me back. After a week of not hearing back, I called again, and spoke to a representative who conveyed my message to a manager. They said they would send us a check of $65 to refund the "labor" portion. It's been a few weeks and we still haven't received the refund check. Personally: I do not recommend this company. You have a right to a second opinion and companies should not overcharge you or bully you into using their services.

Since I have multiple garage doors I have had many occasions through the years to call Precision Door for help. Today's problem was a broken sprin. The tech was on time, professional and pleasant. He explained the problem and solution thoroughly, then selected the proper parts and made the repairs necessary. I highly recommend Precision Door.

Andy called first and arrived on time. He looked over the problem , then discussed the different options we had. At no time was there high pressure to do anything but the least to put the door back into operation. Bottom line we got a new opener with limits and two door spring. He left the garage clean . Anthony replaced our very old garage door opener today and we are very pleased with the service we received from Precision Door and Anthony. We were able to get a next day appointment when our old equipment stopped working, Anthony called before he got here (earlier than expected), and was here for under 2 hours. In that time he installed the new door, did some basic programming, set up an extra remote for us and verified that I understood the operation. He was very coginzant of COVID precautions, wore his mask the entire time, and maintained distancing. We're very happy with the service we received.

Our experience was excellent. First making the appointment was quick (with polite people). Then, during the appointment, we were given options and knowledge and time to make our own decisions. Nothing was pushed on us. Anthony was very kind, knowledgeable and efficient! A Google search showed us the company had great reviews and then the company sent out bios on their employees with all this detail. We were happy that they weren’t random people because we have been burned many times in the past. It felt like someone had our back and not there to just to nickel and dime us.

I was heading out Sunday morning, and found the garage door spring had broken (boy what a boom it made!). Called Precision and was given a arrival time of 4 to 6 p.m. that day. Instead the serviceman called soon after. The spring was replaced one hour later! This is the second time I've had work done by Precision. We were in the process of moving into our new home the 2nd week of November and realized our first night there that the garage door was broken...we were unable to fully lower it and called Precision that same evening. Anthony arrived first thing the following morning and informed us of the damage and that we'd need to replace the door. He was friendly, informative and efficient. He fixed our existing set-up so we could at least fully close the existing door (manually) while we wait for a new door, which will take several weeks to arrive due to a backlogged supply chain. Once our new door is installed, I will provide an update to this review. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door of Cleveland!
