My garage door opener died and I knew it needed to be replaced. I looked on line and selected Precision Garage Door Service after reading all of the positive reviews. I liked being able to schedule on line for a time that met my needs. The technician, Zoran, called shortly before the scheduled time to confirm appt. He arrived on time and got right to work— replaced the bad opener with a new one and also replaced the worn rollers. It was expensive but was done quickly and all debris was cleaned up. And I had it all done the same day so my cars would not have to sit outside overnight. The technician was very polite and friendly— he explained how to do some basic routine care of the new equipment, which was appreciated. I would recommend Precision Garage Door to family and friends.

I used the online appointment to schedule since it was past 7 pm and I was immediately given a text response, followed by a text verifying the installation time the next morning. I called on Sunday, Zoran came out on Sunday. When my garage door opens, it goes to far and hits the motor with a bang and shaking. He noticed right away that the stopping mechanism was broken, however the parts that he had did not fit my old Genie. He said he would check the warehouse for the part and come back Tues or Wed. He told me to try stopping the door before it gets too close to the motor. I said OK. He asked for a deposit, witch I gave. Job not finished today, but Precision has been good to me before, so I expect the same now.

The service is great, very quick. But the price is very steep. I was charged $155 for 8ft of steel cable (Home Depot has it for $20). Also $200 for a 130LB Extension Spring (Home Depot also has for $25) Additionally the steel cable was tied around itself by the technician, and I was told “Don’t touch it”. The technician was here for no more than 25min. All in all I feel ripped off.

We had a sudden and extremely dangerous situation occur, as the 2 x 6 board that secures the garage door mechanism and garage door opener to the garage wall came completely loose. We were in danger of personal and/or property injury due to the tension in the door spring. Zoran, the technician, came on short notice and was able to relieve the spring and make repairs without damage--no small feat!! The repair required new cabling and re-tensioning the spring, along with some tune-ups. The door works better than ever. Thanks Zoran and Precision!

Our car was stuck in the garage after the spring broke. Since it was a Saturday, the other company which usually serviced our door said someone would call me on Monday. I discovered our small garage door spring was broken on Saturday morning as we were leaving for our grandsons basketball game. I found Precision Door on the web when we returned later that morning. To my surprise, they answered (I thought I would have to wait until Monday). The very nice young lady on the phone said they could have a technician out that afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. A short time later Zoran called and said he was free and could arrive within the hour. Just as promised he arrived 45mins later. He was exceptionally friendly and during his inspection pointed out to me that the rollers were done for and he could replace them is I chose. I told him I would like that and an hour later he had the spring and rollers replaced. The door is 18 yrs old and now operates better than when it was new! I thought the price was very fair given it was Saturday and unscheduled. I will definitely recommend this company to everyone we know.
