This is the third time I am writing a stellar review for technician Jason Schwarz...the first two seem to be "lost in their system" BUT that anyone takes the time to write three separate reviews to make sure you know who you are dealing with, that alone should tell you something.... Our garage door would not go up one morning.. this lead to my wife taking my car to work - going in early b/c my son had to be driven to school as his car was in the garage with my wife's car... I found a note on the sink - Garage Door Won't Open. I checked the Chagrin Area Yellow Pages (yes, old school) and called 4 companies. One couldn't make it today, 2 said they could make it "some time in the late afternoon" and Precision said "I'll see if I can work you into the FIRST appointment slot after the tech's current morning appointment "...you can guess who I chose :-) Jason called about 30 minutes later..he was on the road coming cross town and heading my way.."Be there in about 30 minutes. He made it in 24 minutes and called when he was about a minute out. I was able to be ready for his arrival. When he arrived, he met me with a smile, looked me in the eye and gave me a firm handshake. Even though the dog was barking, he said he liked animals and they like him..after a few minutes - no more barking. Old School = punctual, looked me in the eye, good hand shake, even the dog thought he was okay after a couple of minutes - all were good omens. He got the door up in a jiffy. then quickly diagnosed the problem, explained it to me in lay man's terms and said he had the necessary parts in the truck. He repaired the broken cable, readjusted the spring tensioning and had the door going up and down in about 15 minutes..he then checked the door over and showed me some other trouble spots = potential problems on my "old" door. He set about replacing bottom door brackets, replaced some missing and broken rollers, lubricated all the door hinges (with the correct lubricant and explained why my previous spray was not really helping the situation). We talked while he worked, and he never slowed down or missed a beat. He was truly a pleasant gent AND he knew what he was doing, and so comfortable with his knowledge and didn't mind sharing his insights and experience with his customer (me :-) When he was done he checked the two garage door openers to make sure they worked and had me try the outside touchpad also.. He then took out a broom and made sure he got everything cleaned up (gargage floor ahadn't looked so good since last fall) on top of the sweeping, he ran a magnetic device all over the floor to pick up "any stray metal pieces" that just might be around. Voila - Door fixed in a short period of time, first thing in the morning, everything that needed repair was corrected and the door was so quiet when it went up and down, that I was wondering what magic this wizard had used = a Cinderella Garage Door. We settled up quickly - he had a handheld device that took care of the credit card usage and then sent me an email with the job's description and price for everything all itemized out...surprisingly, the job (with all the extras) was still less than the other three quotes I received from Precision's competitors. Happiness is a working garage door. That's about it - except a few days later, Jason called back and asked how everything was working... Wow - someone who really cared about how he had taken care of their problem...think about it...who does that anymore? All was fine - and he remembered my son had a lacrosse game the day that he was here and asked how the game was and how my son had done... That's like living in a small town where everyone really cares about their neighbors and customers. Like I said - OLD SCHOOL "PROFESSIONAL"... Jason gets Five Good Stars and Precision seems to understand what it takes to make a company to succeed = Professional People who quickly repair the problems faciong their customers, at a fair price, are punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Customer satisfaction in every aspect of their dealings with John Q Public. Way to Go, Precision...and good on you for having the insight to hire folks with "The Right Stuff" :-) You will be my FIRST CALL whenever I have a garage door question or problem !!!
