I had inadvertently closed the garage door and the only working opener was in my car, in the garage.This happened around the last week of November. It was 8:00 PM and I tried to open the door manually with no success. I called your company and they scheduled an appointment between 10:00 and 12:00.The on-call technician, Eric, called within a half hour and was on site by 9:00 PM. He worked for about a half hour to manually unlock with no success. I authorized him to cut a hole in a panel so we could hit the switch to open the door. This garage had no other means of entry (side door, window, attached to house).
He took the information for the new panel and explained that when the door was installed originally, the manual release was installed to the frame of the door instead of the release mechanism. The panel came in about two weeks later and Eric came to do the installation. Unfortunately,
the wrong panel had been ordered and the door was not fixed. Eric did install the new panel on Thursday and I no longer have to get out of the car to open and shut the door!
The only disappointment was the length of time it took to install the panel.
The technician was terrific: very polite and professional, always prompt and called when enroute. I do not know whether this happened by accident or deliberate - I think it was critical to your success that the same technician was on the job thru to completion. Prior to installation we were contacted to determine best date and time and you were always very accomodating. I would definately make referrals to you in the future and call you for additional assistance and purchase.
